According to recent rankings, Albania is one of the best destinations for digital nomads. 

The country has never been one of the top destinations in Europe for travelers and tourists. However, Albania has grown in popularity in the last few years because of its low living costs and breathtaking landscapes. 

Data by Instat and Eurostat counted over 3.6 million tourists in 2022 – 22.8% more than in 2021. According to data, Albania recorded the higher number of stays, followed by:

  • Serbia (21.3%)
  • Denmark (12.3%)
  • Iceland (5%)
  • Norway (2.5%)

Here are the main reasons why Albania is a top destination for digital nomads:

In the past few years, the country invested in promoting its land and implementing touristic amenities and activities to discover the country.

Albania offers different cousins and places to experience local culture at very affordable prices, making its cities a dynamic hub for social life.
