Since it burst onto the social media scene in 2018, TikTok has seen exponential growth. Following on from short video sites like Vine and Music.ly, Tiktok learned lessons and are dominating force in social media today. Many of us spend hours per day scrolling the app, keeping up with the latest dance trends, enjoying the comedy, catching a glimpse into the lives of our favorite celebrities, or connecting with other people with similar interests or experiences.

TikTok Careers in 2023
We’ve divided this list of TikTok jobs into two sections; one is jobs working for TikTok, and the other is jobs where you will be working for another company, but your job role will revolve around the app.
Local Jobs at TikTok
TikTok is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. They first launched the app within China as Douyin, and the app still operates in China under that name but content from Douyin isn’t shared on TikTok and vice versa.
With offices around the globe (including Los Angeles, Mountain View, New York, London, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo), there are plenty of openings available (almost 6,000 at the time of writing).

You’ll be supporting TikTok’s VIP users with their requests and questions, as well as looking for the next VIP you can recruit onto the platform. You’ll need at least four years of experience in a similar VIP-centric role and to speak English and at least one other language.
2. Brand Strategist – Manila, Philippines
TikTok is looking for someone who can help them connect with local brands and explain why they need to use the platform. They’re looking for a Digital Marketing expert with 5-8 years’ experience.
3. Content Editorial Specialist, Sports & Gaming – Johannesburg, South Africa
Fancy helping more people to see the content they love about sports and gaming? Then this role is for you. They’re looking for someone who understands the local culture and experience in a social media role.
4. Senior Safety Communications Officer – New York, New York, USA
They’re looking for communications professional (8+ years) with a strong understanding of the trust & safety landscape. You’ll be helping to drive improvements across the app as well as drafting communications.
5. Content Ecosystem Lead – Dubai, UAE
For this role, TikTok is recruiting a social media specialist who wants to help drive the content produced in the area. Good local knowledge is essential and strong data analysis skills will be a real advantage.
5 Remote Jobs at TikTok

1. Production System Engineer – Seattle, USA (Remote)
You’ll be using your technical skills to identify and fix bugs and hardware issues and building tools to keep the system running efficiently in one of many TikTok remote jobs. Two years of experience with Linux and two or more programming or scripting languages are required.
2. Global Account Manager – Singapore (Remote)
If you’ve got experience in project management, media campaigns, and managing budgets, then take a look at this role. You’ll be coordinating global account strategies to build internal and external growth.
3. Business Process Strategist – EU (Remote)
For many TikTok careers, remote isn’t an option, but it is for this interesting role. The role includes working with internal teams to establish processes that support growth. You’ll have over five years in business process engineering, management consultancy, or similar.
4. User Operations Intern – Manila, Philippines (Remote)
This job is advertised from the Manila office. User operations is a think tank that helps ensure the site’s quality of content. They’re looking for an intern available 3 days a week for six months duration.
5. SMB Quality Program Manager, – EU (Remote)
You’ll be working with business owners to help them develop strategies that work on TikTok. Global travel will occasionally be required for this role, and you’ll need at least three years of experience in quality programs to apply.
