Selina aims to draw more freelancers and remote workers to its locations and co-working spaces after partnering with Fiverr.
This is now feasible since the hotel brand has access to the vast network of four million users of the freelancing platform. Now, remote workers and freelancers may take advantage of savings on additional services as well as 15% off stays at Selina’s facilities.
The partnership illustrates the growing convergence of business and travel. As Selina enters the business-to-business market, new forms of group purchasing power are emerging and partnerships are developing.
“So many corporates get discounts at Marriotts or Hiltons. Why not freelancers?”
Elad Nir, Global Chief Marketing Director, Selina
The arrangement with Selina, which will have more than 150 locations by the end of 2022, also gives these workers the chance to meet up in person at events and get-togethers.
Fiverr says that at least two local and international nations are visited by its freelancers each year while they operate remotely. Because of this, Selina and Fiverr both seek to counteract the “loneliness” that remote employees occasionally experience.
“While being an Anywhere Worker has numerous benefits including having autonomy and flexibility over one’s worklife, it still has its challenges such as lack of community and a sense of belonging.”
Gali Arnon, CMO, Fiverr
The association also offers a “Work from Anywhere” competition that asks Fiverr freelancers to upload films via social media depicting their working life in exchange for a chance to win $4,000 in rewards, which may include a three- to four-week stay at a Selina facility.
Selina has been working on a brand-new “workcation” solution, which has already undergone testing by two significant business clients. Soon, further details will be made available.
