Harrogate Borough Council invested £540K in opening a dedicated office and co-working space for digital and tech businesses.

Known as Co-Lab, the digital incubator is in the Springfield House, Harrogate Convention Centre. The initiative aims to create a collaborative environment for innovative businesses. Members can access information about funding and investment, supply chains, recruitment support, and workshops.

In addition, the building provides modern office space for digital and tech businesses, including:

  • Co-working desk space
  • Lounge area
  • Ten serviced offices with desk space (10 people)
  • High-speed secure broadband
  • Meeting rooms
  • Kitchen area
  • Showers
  • Tech equipment
  • Other facilities

The project won the £540K funding at the Leeds City Region Business Rates Pool. As Harrogate Borough Councillor Graham Swift said: “Co-Lab is a fantastic co-working space […] to meet the demand of digital and tech businesses who either need flexible office space, support, and advice from peers or, of course, both.”

As the remote work trend continues, investments and incubators for tech projects are increasing worldwide.
