Michigan Medicine departments are discussing the future of their work with faculty and staff. The conversations revolve around maintaining business operations in a flexible work setting.
The remote work policy created by the Human Resources outlines the standards for managing the Michigan Medicine remote work agreement (RWA). Departments working within the guidelines in the policy, will be able to create flexible work environments for the employees.
What Is The New Remote Work Policy About?
- The policy defines remote work categories and eligibility.
- It gives guidance on dependents and children at home during the workday.
- It talks about the workspaces.
- The policy helps with guidance on printing documents at home.
- In-state and out-of-state living eligibility and requirements.
All Michigan Medicine remote employees who and those working at any location other than a Michigan Medicine facility, must have a current RWA in place. These agreements will go through annual reviews with the employees’ manager.
Departments need to enter all current agreements data into the MPathways system by Oct. 1, 2021. The data collected from these documents will further help in refining workplace strategies and decisions and the organization’s future space requirements.
