Meta’s senior team is dispersing to new locales outside of Silicon Valley, with even CEO Mark Zuckerberg living away from the city.

This includes Naomi Gleit, the company’s head of product, who has relocated to New York. Additionally, both Chief Marketing Officer Alex Schultz and Vice President of Integrity Guy Rosen are expected to relocate to Israel in the near future.

Meanwhile, Chief Growth Officer Javier Olivan will travel between California and Europe, according to the article, but will be spending more time abroad now. According to the article, Zuckerberg will spend more time away from the company’s Menlo Park headquarters, instead spending time at his other houses and his Hawaiian resort.

“The past few years have brought new possibilities around the ways we connect and work. We believe that how people work is far more important than where they work from.”

Tracy Clayton, Spokesperson, Meta

Zuckerberg will spend “more than half” of his time in California and the rest of the year working remotely, according to Clayton. After changing its name from Facebook last year, the corporation has adopted more flexible remote work policies.

At the start of the year, Meta had also decided to hire remote European talent specially for the company’s virtual reality related products.
