During a conference last week, Amazon´s CEO Andy Jassy indicated that the company supports flexible work arrangements, and employees in certain departments will continue doing their duties 100% remotely. However, this doesn´t apply to all departments as some of them require employees to be in the office more time than others.
According to a report by CNBC, Andy Jassy said during Code Conference in Los Angeles that Amazon had no plans to force employees to return to the office.
Amazon Employees Can Continue Working From Home
Jassy admitted during the conference that while some teams can perfectly perform their tasks from home, others require more office time. Specifically, those who are part of creative and hardware teams could work from the office more often than engineers who mostly work from home.
Last year the company announced that tech and corporate staffers would indefinitely work remotely but eventually could return to the office. The company also said that team managers will decide at what time should employees work from the office.
Jassy added that
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to how every team works best.
