According to a research on the uptake of the home office format 2020, remote work in Brazil was not possible for most people.

There were major differences between the country’s 27 states and the Federal District, where capital Brasília is located.

According to a separate study, remote working is not feasible for lower middle class Brazilians. According to the research, only 17.5% of Brazilians from lesser privileged backgrounds were able to work from home through the pandemic.
