During the 4th Annual Women In Tech Summit, Capital Factory Texas Fund will officially announce the next $100,000 Investment Challenge. In partnership with Beam Angel Network, Seven Seven Six Fund, and Golden Seeds (Houston), the challenge targets startups and female entrepreneurs to encourage diversity in the tech field.
Based in Texas, Capital Factory is a center for startups and female entrepreneurs. Thousands of tech professionals gravitate around the Factory, attending online and physical meetups, classes and sharing the coworking space. With locations spread across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, the Factory facilitates the network between investors and entrepreneurs.
In the previous challenges, different startups had the chance to realize their projects. For example, Houston Syzygy Plasmonics raised a $5.8 million Series A round to develop a green power source from hydrogen fuel cells. Secondly, Austin’s Journey Foods created an AI for sustainability recipes and food manufacturers. Finally, San Antonio’s Easy Expunctions raised $1.6 million to develop software to clean up criminal records by automating the execution process.
