India_ WeWork announces 10-day breaks for remote work to prioritize mental health and well-being. 

WeWork is one of the most popular coworking space providers. The company provides flexible workplaces to promote better work-life balance. For the Festival of Lights, Diwali, they announced extended breaks for their employees in India. 

The company wants to prioritize the mental health and well-being of its employees. Employees can already use as for 10 days of workation to work from anywhere in the world. 

As Chief People and Culture Officer at WeWork, Priti Shetty, said, “2022 was an eventful year for us as our business grew stronger and exceeded all internal benchmarks set for employees and members. Our success as a brand is a direct result of the hard work of our colleagues. The 10-day break is a gesture of appreciation for the entrepreneurial spirit of every WeWork employee.”

Especially after the pandemic, time out to rest and recharge is necessary for employees to find the right balance. So, the company decided to make it an annual ritual. 

In the saim vein, Meesho announced an 11-day companywide break (October 22 to November 1) for the second year. The initiative Reset and Recharge is a company strategy to support its employees’ emotional state. 

After the pandemic, more companies prioritize mental health and well-being. Worldwide, people are more sensitive to burnout and anxiety. So, new strategies to support employees’ emotional states are becoming more popular.
