Vietnam Top Destination For Digital Nomads

Vietnam digital nomads

Asia has always been one of the best locations to work and travel. Now, Vietnam is becoming one of the best destinations for digital nomads.

First, Thailand’s government recently announced a 50% cut on the long-term resident visa (LTR). And new changes are coming for digital nomads and remote workers. Furthermore, applications are open for families, and applicants must have a local bank account with a minimum of $100,000 in the last 12 months before the application.

Second, Vietnam is becoming one of the best destinations for digital nomads. The country didn’t announce any incentive for remote workers yet. However, it’s one of the best places to move remotely. Vietnam is an excellent hub for slow travelers, from weather to cuisine and a renovated medical system. And Internet speeds run 71Mbps for fixed broadband and 33.96Mbps median speeds for mobile broadband.

The six cities in Vietnam best for digital nomads are:

  • Ho Chi Minh City
  • Hanoi
  • Da Lat
  • Da Nang
  • Nha Trang
  • Vung Tau

Finally, the local currency Vietnam’s Dong (VND) provides several options for money transfers. And for crypto lovers, the country is the second place in the value of retail and all on-chain cryptocurrency transactions.

The current situation makes short traveling more complicated. Joining the trend, Vietnam has become an ideal city for digital nomads and slow travelers.
