Hybrid work is among the most common and most desired work arrangement. 37% of employees reported they prefer it.
A FlexJobs survey revealed that the majority of workers want some form of remote work.
Thankfully, hybrid careers are on the rise. But which career fields offer the most prospects for hybrid remote jobs in 2024?
The recent FlexJobs study analyzed the five top-growing industries for hybrid jobs.
These roles blend in-person and remote work, allowing employees to work at home part of the time.
From March 1 to August 31 of this year, FlexJobs analyzed their database to identify emerging hybrid careers. Here are the top 5 categories with 10% or more growth:
- Bookkeeping
- Account Management
- Bilingual
- HR & Recruiting
- Administrative
Account management saw the highest growth rate (62%) in hybrid job postings over the past six months.
Bilingual, HR and recruiting, and administrative fields followed. Each category grew upwards of 30% in the total number of hybrid job postings.
Finally, bookkeeping came in at number 5. It also saw significant gains of 10% in hybrid work-from-home jobs.
The results may be shocking since the top-growing industries exclude the usual career categories. The ones that typically lead the flexible job marketplace are IT, accounting and finance, marketing, and customer service.
These expanding hybrid career fields show industries are embracing flexible work options for their teams.
