OVES Enterprise, a Romanian software firm based in Cluj-Napoca since 2015, has made permanent remote work available to its workers.
The employees will not be required to return to the office and will be free to work from anywhere in the world, according to the corporation.
The firm presently employs 107 people, 30 of whom were hired in the previous three months. Members of the team can work from home, in the office, or in a hybrid or fully remote environment. They have the option to alter their favourite mode at any moment.
OVES Enterprise has workers in Romania, Austria, Germany, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa, and expects to increase its staff to more than 200 by the end of the year.
“We have been looking at the HR trends covering this topic and had an open talk with the programmers, whose wish to not return to the office is backed up by the good results we noticed during the pandemic. Over the last two years, we realized that, as long as projects are delivered on time, it matters less where we work from. We are more focused on what we deliver than where we deliver it from.”Mihai Filip, CEO, OVES Enterprise
Currently, the majority of the company’s collaborators work from home. Around 5% of employees come to work, and they are generally members of the management team. Some 10% work in a mixed manner, while the remainder are completely remote.
“Lately, five Romanian employees relocated to Spain, two to southern France and two to the United States. People can come to the office anytime if they want to socialize, but most of our developers are seniors, are around 35-40 years old, have families, and prefer to spend their time off with their families or close friends.”Mihai Filip, CEO, OVES Enterprise
