startup program

The Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) launches Sandbox. The startup program supports emerging technology startups to grow and raise funds.

Dubai is one of the most dynamic places for startups and remote workers. The application process is open. And enrolled entrepreneurs will also access a tech hub and coworking space. Sandbox focuses on six key pillars:

  • Product development
  • Traction
  • Scaling
  • Financial diagnostics
  • Wellbeing
  • Legal support

DSOA will run the 12-months startups program in collaboration with the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec). The organization supports over 1.000 startups across 75 countries. Offering business accelerators and digital setup support, including licensing, DSOA supports entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators in the technology, Ai, and digitalization field.

Dtec will invest part of its dedicated funding to Sandbox. Through the initiative, participants will have:

  • Exclusive company setup rates (Dhs9,500)
  • Access to leading venture capital funds
  • Broad services from DSOA’s partners(Dhs550,000)

The startup program provides a solid structure to improve the curriculum with over 200 hours of theoretical and practical workshops. In addition, the courses include 100 hours of individual mentorship sessions and networking opportunities to grow startups. Finally, entrepreneurs can benefit from diagnostic tools for financial efficiency and legal compliance.

As remote work options rise, more and more technology incubators offer opportunities for remote entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups.
