Priority Health has introduced the MyPriority Travel Plans which provide full coverage for remote workers.

If individuals live in the Priority Health market but go out of the region for remote work, they can avail this policy.

Priority Health is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has about 1 million health coverage enrollees. All providers in Priority Health’s provider network are also in Michigan.

Because the pandemic led to rapid shifts in the way of working, many people who live and work in Michigan are now moving out of the state for work. With the increase in the number of remote workers and digital nomads, the health insurance industry is evolving and providing equal benefits and access for those who choose to move out of the region.

The company already had policies to cover out-of-state emergency care. Now, through the Cigna provider network, it is offering the same level of preventive care and ordinary health care benefits to those who are outside Michigan.

The policy additionally comes with Assist America global emergency assistance program and a gym membership discount program.
