MPW Marketing, a full-service advertising and marketing agency in Clinton, has made the move to optional remote work and just hired its first two remote employees.
MPW was created in 2006, and during the pandemic, it, like many other organisations, transitioned to a remote work environment. This was intended to be a temporary change, but it became evident over time that the team valued and required the flexibility, and there was no impact on the quality of work. What MPW discovered was that team performance actually improved. They claim that their personnel retained a sense of belonging to one another.
Employees at MPW may now work remotely if they like, or they can come into the office when it’s convenient for them.
Paul Gabella, a media buyer located in New Jersey, and Ashley Randall, a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist based in Georgia, have recently joined MPW. They are the first of MPW’s increasing staff of 22 marketing specialists that are based outside of Central New York.
“Now that our employees are primarily remote, it only made sense to open up candidate selections to a bigger geographical radius. This led us to finding perfect fits like Ashley and Paul, whom we wouldn’t have met otherwise.”
Matt Wilson, Founder, MPW
Gabella brings eight years of media planning and buying, project management, and client-facing support expertise to MPW. Gabella was most recently a senior media buyer at
Mahwah, New Jersey-based Beacon Media Group During the past four years He graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in creative writing.
Randall has approximately ten years of expertise in company management, marketing, and SEO, which he brings to MPW. She worked as a content/contributing writer for The Odyssey Online and DEV Community most recently. Digital Marketing, Google Analytics, Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Algorithms, and Data Structures are among Randall’s certifications.
“It’s an incredible thing to live in a time where we can bring teammates like Ashley and Paul on board through technology. It’s an approach to hiring that transcends geographical limitations, and gives us a better opportunity to find the specialized talent and experience we need on the team as we continue to grow.”
