85% Of MENA Professionals Prefer Remote Work

In a recent survey conducted by job site Bayt.com, it was revealed 85% of professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region prefer companies that offer remote work options.

The report titled “Modern Job Search Strategies in the MENA 2023” showed the evolving dynamics of the job market in the region. Workplace flexibility now seems to be a priority for employees.

The survey also showed 91% of respondents consider changing jobs in 2023, “suggesting a highly dynamic job market in the MENA region.” 

The survey was conducted online, and gathered responses from 7,591 professionals across various countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco, Bahrain, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, and Algeria.

The data revealed that online job sites have become the preferred method of job search for 71% of respondents.

The report highlights the skills that modern professionals prioritize in the current job market, with 85% of respondents anticipating an increase in remote hiring in the coming months.

The top three skills deemed crucial by respondents for the present job landscape include the ability to work without supervision (34%), flexibility and adjusting to change (27%), and self-motivation and discipline (17%). The report notes the growing importance professionals place on autonomy and adaptability.
