Software development company Luxoft Romania will open 150 new remote work positions by the end of the year.
Romania isn’t only one of the most dynamic tech centers in Eastern Europe. It is also a great place to work remotely. After the rise of remote work due to the pandemic, the country launched several digital nomads and tech workers initiatives.
The IT company Luxoft Romania jumped right into this remote trend. The Romanian business is part of DXC Technology, the largest US provider of B2B information technology services.
According to Profit.ro, their IT staff increased by 0.5% YoY to 1,774 in 2020. With 2.000 employees,Luxoft Romania announced that it would open 150 remote work positions during the upcoming year.
Remote work opportunities are their first strategy to attract and retain talent. Since December 2020, the company has been allowing permanent remote positions. After that, the company could hire over 300 programmers with a full remote recruitment process. As a result, Luxoft’s team aims to expand outside Bucharest, targeting Cluj, Iasi, Timișoara, and Brasov.
Even when COVID restrictions slowly disappear, remote work positions are valuable strategies to attract and retain IT employees.
