The Latvian government presented a digital nomad visa that enables foreign nationals employed outside Latvia to work remotely from Latvia for up to one year. They will have the possibility to renew this visa for another year without local sponsorship.
The visa is only valid for foreign nationals employees by an Organization for Co-operation and Development (OECD)-registered employer.
Digital Nomad Visa in Latvia
Before the digital nomad visa, people who visited Latvia could only stay in the country for 90 days. This new category enables digital nomads and foreign workers to stay in the country for more than one year.

This new digital nomad visa will let foreign nationals live and work in Latvia for their employer or business abroad without local employer sponsorship.
