A survey conducted by TeamLease revealed that at least 77% of corporate India is ready to give employees their preferred hybrid work model. Most of them are against forcing employees to return to the office.
The report called “Future-readiness of Organizations for a Hybrid World” collected data from 300 organizations and startups in a wide range of industries.
Hybrid Work in India
Besides the fact that most employers in India (77%) are ready to enable remote work to some extent, the report also revealed other key findings:
- 30% plan to design personalized talent development programs
- 26% plan to employ remote employee performance apps
- 41% find employee performance management challenging when it’s virtual
- 37% had office space on the lease before the pandemic but moved to co-working spaces
Ajoy Thomas, VP & Business Head for Retail, E-Commerce, Logistics & Transportation at TeamLease, explained:
“As the economy is slowly opening and organizations are looking to welcome their employees back, they want to foolproof their workspaces and environment to accommodate the employee preferences in a way that also aligns with business sustainability and growth. Both can be balanced in the best way possible by redefining what productivity looks like, how it’s measured, and how employees are being engaged and retained in the long term. The survey observes all such nuances and captures future-readiness of companies to adopt hybrid or virtual work settings as the case may be.”
