Ford Motor Co. will again be delaying returning to campuses for most of its salaried employees. Initially, the company would start bringing its workforce to the offices in March, but now it’s targeting April as the deadline.

Last year, Ford announced the implementation of a hybrid workplace model. As COVID-19 forced the company to work remotely,  the results were successful. Most employees wanted to continue working virtually, and directives decided to continue with a flexible model post-pandemic.

Ford’s Employees Will Return to the Office in April

In December, the company pushed returning to the office till March. However, due to the latest COVID-19 variant, Omicron, Ford decided to move this date one more month,

According to Monique Brentley, Ford’s spokeswoman:

“For more than a year, we have been preparing to launch our new hybrid work model where non-site dependent employees can work flexibly between Ford campuses and remote options. Given our ongoing safety protocols and vaccination rates, our campuses will begin welcoming additional team members onsite beginning in April.”
