Federal Employees Seek More Remote Work Options

According to a recent survey by Federal News Network, over 64% of Federal employees were satisfied with their work situation. However, most want to continue having more remote work options instead of returning to the office.

With the pandemic, companies took remote work to a whole new level. While some continue trying to re-force a culture based on onsite interactions, others have found remote work to be valuable and efficient.

Federal Employees Want to Continue Working Remotely

Since the pandemic started, federal employees questioned the purpose of returning to the office when working remotely has been successful these past years.

Federal News Network surveyed federal employees, and 64% said they were satisfied with their current work situation. However, the requirement for workers to be in the office at least one day a week has become an issue for some of them.

According to the survey´s results, one respondent noted why they should be required to return to the office when they have been fully remote for over two years, and it has worked. Having a hybrid structure will only make things harder and more stressful.

Another respondent noted:

“All of my work can be done remotely. There is no need to come to the office to work. My supervisor just likes to have a presence in the office building,”
