The county council has approved the opening of a new remote working hub in Clifden.
The renovation of a portion of the building from commercial use to work hub/offices/meeting spaces has been approved by Clifden Chamber of Commerce. On the first level of the Main Street building, there will be 69 remote working workstations available at the new co-working space.
Public parking on Main Street and Bridge Street will be used for the vast majority of the hub’s parking needs. A sizable parking space is also available off Galway Road and further back in the structure that will house the remote working center.
According to correspondence with the county government, 16 bike parking places will be available.
The county council approved the project’s planning with 10 standard conditions attached.
