Businesses focus on protecting their remote employees from cybersecurity threats. SASE or zero trust strategy are the answers to remote work problems.
According to a recent report by ISACA and HCL Technologies which had 3,600 cybersecurity professionals worldwide who participated in a poll, adopting SASE or zero trust strategy is the highest among medical, pharma, and healthcare organizations: 48%, closely followed by finance, banking and insurance: 46%.
Data Loss Protection (DLP) is the most popular of all SASE technologies. Social engineering is the most common threat, followed by advanced persistent threats (APT), ransomware, the exploitation of unpatched systems and denial of service (DoS) attacks.
Potential damage to enterprise reputation, data theft and supply chain disruption were cited as the biggest concerns by participants of the poll. With remote work taking centerstage, combatting cyber threats and attacks have become the focus of many businesses across the world.
Remote work has also led to businesses increasingly relying on artificial intelligence (AI). According to the report, there are many businesses that are still working on developing their AI capabilities.
