According to the Gartner 2021 Digital Worker Experience Survey, which was conducted by the tech research and consulting firm Gartner, five out of ten Indian workers reported higher productivity when they worked remotely.
Indian workers reported increased productivity since they were no longer subjected to interminable traffic delays.
Other Survey Findings
- Over 40% of individuals polled in the UK, Germany, and France claimed their productivity had stayed constant.
- More than 30% of Australian workers believed they were more or much more productive when they worked from home.
Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the use of technology by Indian workers has increased.

- 83% of Indian digital employees stated they prefer real-time smartphone messaging over other online communication tools available during remote work.
- 60% of global workers polled use messaging tools on a daily basis.
- 50% utilize collaboration and storage/sharing tools on a daily basis for work from home.
According to the survey, when compared to Indian and Chinese workers, Indians prefer virtual meetings over in-person meetings.

According to the research, these technologies have emerged “as the core components of the “new work hub.” This portal brings together cloud-based, personal, and team productivity applications. The survey’s findings were announced at the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2021. This poll was carried out in November and December 2020 with 10,080 full-time employees who participated from organizations with 100 or more employees in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific (APAC), including 1,550 in India.
