According to a research from ResumeOK, demand for remote employment increased by 218.34% year over year in the UK in October and is expected to climb by an average of almost 200% every month in 2022 compared to 2021.

According to the report, demand for remote employment in the UK will be 888.89% higher in October 2022 than it was in 2019.

Information technology (IT) (42.5%), customer service (20.0%), and finance (10.1%) are the three most sought-after remote positions.

According to ResumeOK, the pandemic has helped remote work become mainstream, and the demand has been increasing. Employees and organizations have experienced the benefits of working remotely. Many studies have shown that remote work is better for the environment, savings, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Various other studies too have shown that remote work is on the rise and not just in the UK, it has had a global impact on the way companies function. The remote work revolution is here to stay. The pandemic was just a nudge that helped the work world discover different possibilities and the fact that there’s no ”one size fits all” when it comes to productivity and work style.
