Job Summary:
We are seeking a Payment Domain Expert to drive innovation, optimize payment processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the payments ecosystem including card networks, digital wallets, real-time payments, and cross-border transactions. This role requires deep expertise in payment technologies, fraud prevention, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage Payment domain expertise to identify customer problems, provide thought leadership, recommend solutions, and build proactive proposals that convert into revenue opportunities benefiting both the client and the customer.
- Payment Strategy & Innovation: Define and implement payment solutions aligned with business needs, industry trends, and customer expectations.
- Payment Processing: Optimize payment workflows including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and chargebacks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to global and regional payment regulations (PCI DSS, PSD2, GDPR, etc.).
- Technology & Integrations: Work with engineering teams to enhance payment platforms, integrate APIs, and improve transaction security.
- Fraud & Risk Management: Develop fraud prevention strategies using data analytics, machine learning, and risk assessment tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with banks, payment processors, fintech partners, and internal teams to streamline payment operations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor payment performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 12 years in payments, fintech, banking, or e-commerce payment operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with payment gateways, tokenization, encryption, and API-based payment solutions.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), ACH, SWIFT, UPI, BNPL, and emerging payment methods.
- Compliance & Risk: Experience with KYC, AML, PCI DSS, and fraud prevention best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in payment analytics tools, SQL, and data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, present insights, and drive strategic initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI/ML-driven fraud detection models.
- Knowledge of blockchain-based payment solutions and digital currencies.
- Previous experience in a leadership or advisory role within the payment domain.
