Position: Director of Business Development, Technology

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Business Development to spearhead our initiatives within the Technology Solutions sector. This key leadership role will involve driving growth by prospecting and securing significant accounts in the Enterprise and Commercial Markets.

Location: This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates based in the Central or Mountain time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and execute a robust acquisition strategy to target high-value prospects within the Technology industry.
  2. Lead a team of Business Development Managers in pursuing complex opportunities aimed at organizations with more than 2,000 employees, focusing on contracts exceeding $500K.
  3. Leverage your extensive sales expertise to negotiate substantial contracts (over $1M annually) while engaging with C-Level Executives of Fortune 1000 firms.
  4. Manage intricate sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders and ensure contract designs that reduce risks while delivering value to clients.
  5. Oversee complex deals requiring advanced financial knowledge and negotiation proficiency, including the development of pricing models that align customer and organizational interests.
  6. Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to develop strategic approaches for significant financial agreements, enhancing win rates and profitability.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and market dynamics to continuously refine our sales approach.
  8. Craft persuasive business proposals that present our organization as a differentiated provider of valuable solutions and services.
  9. Cultivate and sustain senior-level relationships with key clients, ensuring customer needs are met while balancing the organization’s long-term financial objectives.
  10. Lead negotiations with emphasis on our value proposition, striving to maximize margins and effectively close business.

Required Skills

  1. Proven sales acumen with a strong emphasis on negotiating high-value contracts.
  2. Exceptional financial expertise and a comprehensive understanding of pricing structures.
  3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and lead teams.
  4. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at senior levels.
  5. Strong leadership capabilities and experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  6. In-depth knowledge of technology industry trends and market dynamics.

Qualifications

  1. At least 10 years of successful sales experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a B2B context.
  2. A documented history of securing large-scale, complex agreements and negotiating effectively at the C-Suite level for Fortune 1000 companies.
  3. Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including Client Services, Legal, and Finance.
  4. Aptitude for identifying enterprise-wide opportunities and crafting integrated solutions aligned with global business goals.
  5. Strong business acumen, forecasting capabilities, and the ability to influence key stakeholders, paired with the drive to excel in a competitive landscape.
