What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across the employer’s products
- Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production
- Collaborate with multiple teams to brainstorm, define, and build solutions
- Continuously re-evaluate products to improve architecture, user experience, performance, and stability
- Mentor and be mentored by other developers on web, backend, and data storage technologies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 8+ years of backend object-oriented development experience in production with Golang, Java, Scala, Node.js, Python, or C#
- Experience with authentication and authorization (AuthN and AuthZ)
- Recent experience building high-scale event-driven microservices architecture (at least 5M events/day)
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, or distributed systems
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Fine-Grained Access Control mechanisms like OpenFGA or Zanzibar
- Contributions to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
- Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields
- Authored and led successful open source libraries and projects
- Existing exposure to Go, Scala, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, and Elasticsearch
