Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our Contract Center of Excellence, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to draft, review, and negotiate complex Indirect Procurement Contracts. Reporting to the Associate Director, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of contracts within diverse business sectors including technology, professional services, marketing, human resources, and research and development.


Review contract intake forms and collaborate with procurement owners to gather necessary information.
Assess contracting requirements based on assigned requests, utilizing historical contract data where applicable.
Draft contract language using templates and essential clauses, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Demonstrate proficiency in negotiating key contract terms and participating in supplier negotiation calls.
Manage the drafting, review, redlining, and negotiation of various agreements including Master Service Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements, and Confidential Disclosure Agreements.
Foster collaboration with Indirect Procurement category owners and Sourcing Procurement partners to address contracting needs effectively.
Liaise with legal teams, internal subject matter experts, and suppliers throughout the negotiation process until contracts are fully executed.
Ensure timely completion of required assessments such as Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Pharmacovigilance, as applicable.
Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful and timely execution of all assigned projects.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) required; Paralegal degree from an ABA accredited program preferred.
Prior experience in law firms is advantageous.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fields.
Proficiency in reviewing, redlining, and negotiating various contracts including Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Applications and track changes.
Proven ability to develop effective solutions to complex problems and establish successful working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Dependable self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Capacity to manage significant contract request volume and cyclical ramp-ups.
Familiarity with spin-off environments and the concept of bifurcation is advantageous.
Strong negotiation skills are essential.
