ABOUT THE ROLE – The remote manager is the first point of contact for current and prospective self-storage customers. Their mission is to assist the storage customer through the entire life cycle of their storage experience. From securing the rental to taking payments and solving customer issues, the remote manager performs the standard functions of an on-site manager, but remotely. They will use technology integrations to manage multiple locations, and provide excellent integrity and communication to our clients

JOB DUTIES – The duties of the remote manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting callers with securing a storage unit that fits their needs and guiding them through the move-in process.
  • Understanding and communicating rental agreement terms and conditions to customers.
  • Providing a positive customer experience by exhibiting friendliness and professionalism at all times.
  • Meeting and exceeding goals set by the Director of Remote Management.
  • Taking customer payments and collecting on past due rent.
  • Handling any customer concerns or issues according to guidelines set forth in account details.
  • Assisting customers with the move-out process and using technology to ensure units are rent-ready.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Following up on leads, reservations, issue resolution, etc.
  • Effectively communicate property activity with XPS client.
  • Effectively able to handle continuous flow of inbound calls (80-120 calls per shift)
  • Utilize excellent spelling and grammatical skills to relay written messages as necessary.   
  • Offering customer support via Live Chat.  

 

LOCATION & COMMITMENTS:

  • This position will ideally be performed from the XPS Solutions office in Richardson, TX.
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Must be able to work assigned schedule which may include evenings and weekends.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-storage experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and possess active listening skills.   
  • Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently.
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate degree is a PLUS
  • Bilingual is a PLUS
  • Call Center Experience is a PLUS (inbound/outbound)
  • Have good Patience -Attentiveness – Clear Communication – Effective Listening, with each customer interaction.
  • 6 months+ in customer service role
  • Experience working with a PC and be able to navigate multiple screens simultaneously.   

COMPENSATION/PAYROLL SCHEDULE:   

  • Base pay starts at $16 – $20 per hour
  • Additional Performance BONUS Pay $$$ EACH MONTH
  • Semimonthly – check dates 15th and Last day of the month   
    1. 1st – 15th is paid on the last day of that month
    2. 16th – last day of the month is paid on the 15th of the following month
