Job Summary
Compass Group USA is looking for a Lead .NET Developer to join the Foodbuy team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading larger projects while continuing to stay technically hands-on.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds, configures, customizes and supports products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems.
- Key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products.
- Leads architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software.
- Leads teams that develop high-quality and production-ready software.
- Champions writing highest quality code with attention to scalability, security, and performance.
- Creates comprehensive, clear, and user-friendly documentation for all developed products.
- Drives code-reviews, provides technical guidance, and mentors software engineers.
- Collaborates closely with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, QA and other teams.
- Scopes effort, identifies risks, and communicates trade-offs with stakeholders.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing engineering projects.
- Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Overall 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
- Full Stack Development experience with the following stack or similar:
- Backend: C#, EFCore T-SQL
- Frontend: Blazor, ASP.Net, Office Integration/VSTO
- Database: MS SQL Server
- Working understanding of cloud development principles and software design patterns.
- Experience in Microservices and REST design patterns.
- Experience with AWS Tech Stack: Services – Lambda, S3 etc.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and ADO Pipelines.
- Strong experience with Scrum, Agile Process, Unit Testing using Test Driven Development.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across several teams.
