What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations and accounting/financial reports for management and regulatory agencies
- Analyze and interpret accounting data, providing recommendations for action
- Complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for accurate financial statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Drive process improvements within the Finance department and participate in company-wide initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4-5 years of experience in casualty insurance, reinsurance, accounting, or finance
- Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring immigration sponsorship
- Willingness to engage in limited domestic and/or international travel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with GAAP, Statutory, and IFRS Accounting Procedures specific to the insurance industry
- Familiarity with financial audits and the preparation of financial reports
