Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As an Early Career Trial Attorney, you’ll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with exciting trials, arbitrations, and mediations. You’ll also provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams, staying ahead of new laws and regulations to keep our strategies sharp. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from inception to verdict, including case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, preparing for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients and witnesses; draft summaries of statements; maintain communication records.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and legal proceedings; represent the company or clients in routine matters as needed.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations; inform the legal team of potential impacts on ongoing cases.
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to complex legal work.
Education
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
- Successful completion of courses in legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating ability to conduct thorough research and draft clear legal documents.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to organize case files, manage legal documents, and understand the discovery process.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards.
- Basic negotiation techniques for client interactions and settlements.
- Must be within commuting distance to courthouses in the greater Fort Lauderdale-Miami area.

Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications.
