Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As an early career Trial Attorney, you’ll handle no-fault, bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with exciting trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you’ll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions.
- Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, preparing for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries of statements, and maintain communication records.
- Attend court proceedings to observe and assist; may represent the company or clients in routine matters.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes, updating the legal team on potential impacts.
- Participate in training and mentorship to develop legal skills and handle complex legal work.
Education
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-4 years of licensed Attorney experience.
- Successful completion of courses in legal research, writing, and analysis.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Organizational skills for case files and legal documents.
- Effective communication skills with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of legal ethics and professional standards.
- Negotiation skills for client interactions and settlements.
- Must be within commuting distance to courthouses in the greater New York area.

Compensation
Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications.
