Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, develop, and enforce legal and regulatory issues for large-scale industrial, electric utility, residential, and commercial projects
- Conduct factual investigations and legal research
- Develop cases and review records
- Collaborate with scientists on complex environmental matters
- Perform legal analysis and writing
- Engage in oral advocacy, motion practice, and brief writing
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 3+ years of relevant experience in environmental and land use law
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong desire to advocate for sustainable development and public service
- Ability to work collegially and contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture
